Funeral Services

Funerals are available both at the Church on St Andrews Street, Tiverton and our minister is also available to carry out funeral services at the local crematoriums.

A Funeral Service That Reflects Your Loved One

A funeral is a very personal occasion, it’s a time to remember, celebrate and give thanks for the life of someone special.

One Life Church in Tiverton provides a calm and welcoming setting where families can take the time they need to create a meaningful service. There is no need to feel rushed. We will listen to you, talk through your wishes and help you create a service that feels right for your loved one and your family.

If your service is to take place at the crematorium we can also accompany you there. Our minister is still committed to make your service as personal and meaningful as possible.

Personal, meaningful and unique

Every person is different, and every funeral should be too. You can choose the elements that best tell the story of your loved one, including:

  • Personal memories, stories and tributes

  • Readings, poems and prayers

  • Favourite hymns and meaningful music

  • Family members or friends taking part in the service

  • Photographs and video memories

  • A slideshow or visual tribute displayed on our TV screens

  • Moments of quiet reflection

  • Music that brings back special memories or simply says something about the person they were

Our screens can help bring treasured photographs and memories into the service, creating a visual celebration of a life well lived.

Take your time

We understand that a funeral cannot simply be fitted into a few hurried moments. There may be stories that need telling, memories that deserve to be shared and music that means something special.

We will work with you to plan the service carefully, giving you the opportunity to talk through what you would like included and how you would like the service to feel.

Working Together With Your Funeral Director

We work closely with your chosen funeral director to make arranging the funeral as straightforward as possible for you and your family. While your funeral director takes care of the practical arrangements, we can spend time with you discussing the service itself. By working together, we can help create a service that feels personal, meaningful and truly reflects the life of your loved one.

A service created for them

Whether your loved one had a living faith in God, or quietly beleived, or simply wanted a service centred around family, friends and memories, we can help you create a fitting farewell.

From the music that accompanied their life, to the photographs that capture precious moments, the service can be shaped around the person you knew and loved.

We want you to leave feeling that the service truly belonged to them, a personal and heartfelt goodbye, created with care.

There is no one-size-fits-all funeral. There is simply your loved one's story, told in a way that is meaningful to you.

Testimonials

  • "My wife and I are so grateful to Pastor Ben Warrender for officiating my mother's funeral service. During one of the most difficult times for our family, he brought tremendous comfort and compassion to us. Ben took the time to connect with our family members who live in different parts of the country. He listened to all our memories and captured my mother’s spirit, humor and heart in a way that felt deeply personal and honoring. Ben tailored his message around the wishes that myself and my sister had for the service. This was uplifting and comforting, and gave our family a real sense of peace. Thank you for guiding us through this farewell with such care."
